Problem Solved

Chinese book proofreading cannot rely on isolated paragraphs or summaries. In long .doc/.docx manuscripts, typos, word usage, punctuation, number formatting, informal online language, and factual clues are spread across the whole book. A local model window can miss issues, while direct rewriting may damage author views, quoted passages, factual data, legal wording, or map content. This skill turns review into an executable pipeline: it brings the full text into one context, separates items that can be revised from items that can only be annotated, and produces a Word deliverable with tracked changes and labeled comments.

How It Works

Source decomposition: Converts .doc/.docx into a complete Markdown intermediate draft, which becomes the main review input to avoid judging from fragments.
Global understanding: Records manuscript type, chapter structure, core themes, and factual/terminology clues, then explains which conditional dimensions are activated.
Dimensional checking: Enforces 12 base dimensions, including typos, word errors, improper collocation, missing/redundant components, mixed sentence structures, punctuation, and number usage; conditionally activates dimensions for word order, ambiguity, measure words, units, charts, lists, legal text, maps, and domain terminology.
Result export: Writes revisions to revisions.json, comments to comments.json, applies Word tracked changes and comments, and generates a fact-check list.

Boundaries

Best suited for Chinese books, textbooks, nonfiction, technical, or academic manuscripts. It does not replace factual investigation, legal interpretation, or professional judgment. Legal regulations, maps, factual data, quoted passages, and author views may only be annotated, not directly revised. For drafts over 3,000 characters, insufficient findings require a fresh word-by-word review.
