PPT Screenshot to Editable Document

Problem

PPT screenshots are often image-only artifacts, making it hard to edit text, recolor elements, or adjust tables. This skill targets cases where a slide screenshot already exists and the goal is to produce an editable .pptx file quickly, without turning the process into a full design pipeline.

How It Works

The workflow is intentionally short:
- Environment check: confirm pptxgenjs is available and install dependencies only when needed.
- Rapid layout perception: extract visible titles, body text, tables, colors, and layer relationships without emitting a long visual analysis.
- Node.js generation: build a 16:9 canvas with PptxGenJS, around 10in x 5.625in, and keep elements within bounds such as x + w <= 9.8 and y + h <= 5.4.
- Layout constraints: keep column x coordinates consistent and row y coordinates consistent; apply font-size bands for titles, subtitles, and body text; constrain long text in bounding boxes with automatic wrapping.
- Style and delivery: use #RRGGBB colors, prefer Microsoft YaHei, and wrap generated text strings in backticks to reduce quote-escaping issues; after the script runs successfully, deliver the .pptx file.

Boundaries

It is best suited for clean business slides: title pages, data summaries, project lists, and process notes. The default style is warm business, while cool or blue styling is used only when explicitly requested. Complex charts, hand-drawn graphics, multi-layer transparency effects, strict brand systems, or data-bound pages may still require manual adjustment of coordinates, font sizes, and table widths.
