Problem

A common issue when building presentations is that source material, outline, layout, and export logic are all stuffed into the same context, causing details to drift as the task grows. Generating PPTX XML directly also limits visual expressiveness and makes browser preview awkward. This skill turns research collection, outline confirmation, slide generation, and PPTX export into a checkable engineering workflow to reduce LLM drift in long tasks.

How It Works

Three-stage pipeline: research.md acts as the unified content layer; each slide is first generated as standalone HTML; then dist/export-pptx.mjs exports the final .pptx.
Single source of truth: presentation.json records the title, theme, per-slide metadata, and file mapping; add or remove slides by editing the array, and file names remain immutable after creation.
Generation constraints: each slide uses a 1280×720 HTML canvas with Tailwind CSS and Lucide icons; read html-spec.md before generation, and default to serial execution unless sub-agent file writes are supported.
Quality checks: the icon validation script fetches the Lucide icon list from a CDN and fixes invalid icons; before export, ensure fonts and Playwright headless Chromium are available.

Boundaries and Notes

Best for generating presentations from web research, user-provided materials, or AI-organized knowledge; not suitable for complex animations, master-system edits, or real-time collaboration. Outline confirmation is a blocking step and HTML should not be generated before confirmation. After theme changes, slide deletion, or copy edits, sync content_spec, re-run icon validation, and re-export.
