Problem Focus

Mental Math Training targets slow or error-prone basic arithmetic, not problem solving or formula derivation. It frames practice as a repeatable loop: confirm level, generate problems, receive answers, mark correctness, analyze mistakes, and give feedback.

How It Works

Core capabilities include:
- Generating addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and mixed problems for levels such as early primary, middle school, or adult
- Supporting a timed challenge mode, though the user must time themselves and report the duration
- Checking whether answer format is acceptable and summarizing accuracy
- Analyzing error patterns, such as weak use of rounding, splitting, or complement tricks
The usual flow is: ask for level and operation type, generate problems with a difficulty gradient, then return correct/incorrect judgments and improvement suggestions.

Boundaries

It is best for short daily drills of 10-15 minutes, where accuracy comes before speed. It is not suitable for advanced mathematics, formula derivation, proofs, or systematic problem solving. If precise timing matters, use a phone or watch as the external timer; if fundamentals are weak, focus first on multiplication tables and basic operations. The focus is consistency and mistake review, not raw volume. It does not store practice records; problems are randomly generated.
