Preschool-to-primary transition is often reduced to “studying first-grade content early.” The practical difficulty for parents is deciding how much phonics / math / reading preparation is needed, whether the child can adapt to a school schedule, and how to handle separation anxiety and social pressure before enrollment. This skill frames those concerns as planning inputs: child age, enrollment date, current self-care and learning level, and parent priorities, instead of returning generic advice.

How It Works

It starts with a current-state assessment, then produces goals and action plans across knowledge preparation, habit building, and psychological readiness. Knowledge covers phonics, math games, and reading comprehension; habits cover routines, attention, and self-care; psychology covers separation adjustment, social rules, and frustration tolerance. It then maps goals into monthly or weekly milestones, with priorities and checkpoints. For attention training, the plan can be staged as 10-minute quiet activity -> 15-minute desk task -> 20-minute simulated class -> 25-minute full task, with completion criteria for each stage.

It also gives day-to-day parent guidance, such as using cards for character recognition, objects for math, and a “simulation week” during summer break. For contested questions like whether to enroll in a transition class or how many characters are enough, it provides a developmentally grounded decision framework rather than encouraging acceleration.

Boundaries

The skill is not for learning-disability assessment, school curriculum design, or professional psychological treatment. Local enrollment requirements vary, so knowledge targets should follow local school expectations. If enrollment is less than one month away, prioritize routines and emotional stability rather than academic intensity. For special educational needs, seek professional evaluation first. It is suitable as a family planning framework, not a replacement for teachers, clinicians, or special-education specialists.
