About this plugin
Running DSH on a dedicated server turns every file exchange into a two-step ritual: open a terminal, scp the file over, then paste its absolute path back into the chat. dsh-upload-file collapses that into a single action — a 📎 button that opens a per-session file library where you can select multiple files, watch a live progress bar, and immediately see a thumbnail (original image, a mid-video frame, or the first PDF page, all compressed to under 10 KB). Mention the file with @ in the input box and the model picks it up directly, no path recitation needed.
Under the hood the design is intentionally lean: each session gets its own hidden subdirectory, the file name is the sole identity with no JSON index, and listing is just readdir plus stat sorted by modification time. Re-uploading a same-named file appends a numeric suffix so nothing is ever silently overwritten, and different sessions live in isolated directories. Every upload carries a SHA-256 digest verified end to end, all path operations are guarded against directory traversal, and the session ID must be a strict UUID.
