Writing official Chinese government documents in DSH is rarely about the content -- it is the format. Every turn calls for a proper title, salutation, structured body, and a closing signature block, yet the AI output is always bare Markdown. dsh-official-document-mode turns that into a single toggle: when on, the model is guided to follow official-document conventions (title phrasing in the style of Request, Report, or Letter documents, layered body, genre-closing formula), and the client renders the full layout on top -- header with agency name and document number, red divider line, centred title, salutation, body text, and a closing block with Sincerely, signature, and date. Intermediate tool calls and workflow steps stay untouched, never wrapped in the document frame.

A small but delightful addition is the approval canvas: a tiny drawing area beside the input bar where you sketch a closed loop for approved or an X-shape for rejected; a lightweight geometric heuristic recognises the gesture and injects the verdict straight into your draft. The canvas appears only while document mode is active; turning the mode off means zero injection, no rendering, no canvas -- a completely plain conversation. Crucially, historical messages are never retroactively framed: the boundary is the moment you enable the mode, so anything written before stays exactly as it was.
