About this skill
Problem to Solve
Equity financial analysis often becomes a checklist of isolated metrics, comparing ROE or profit growth without considering industry context, cash-flow matching, or debt structure. This skill focuses on A-share individual stocks and turns questions such as whether a company is financially stable or whether earnings have quality into a verifiable, structured assessment, using investoday-finance-data for Investoday market data.
How It Works
The agent first resolves a stock name or six-digit code with search, then calls basic info, profitability, growth, income statement, cash-flow statement, balance-sheet, and financial-strength APIs in parallel. The analysis follows five steps:
- Build the financial profile: confirm industry, business, and reporting basis
- Assess earnings power: review ROE, ROA, margins, and profit chain
- Check profit quality: compare operating cash flow, cash collections, and net profit
- Judge growth sustainability: verify whether revenue and profit growth support each other
- Evaluate financial safety: monitor leverage, interest coverage, and short-term repayment pressure
Each conclusion needs at least two numeric data points, explicit period comparisons, two-decimal percentages, amounts preferably in 100 million yuan, and no buy/sell recommendations.
Boundaries
It is useful for screening report quality and financial stress, but it does not replace valuation or technical analysis. The source skill explicitly points users to stock valuation analysis for “is it expensive” and stock technical analysis for “is the trend strong.” For financial companies, cyclical stocks, or non-comparable reporting bases, the report should note that direct comparisons may be misleading.
Use Cases
- Research analysts screening A-share stocks need a quick check of profitability, earnings quality, and cash-flow support before deeper work.
- Analysts comparing issuers need standardized conclusions from ROE, margins, leverage, and interest-coverage data.
- Risk reviewers checking short-term repayment pressure need balance-sheet and cash-flow signals in one structured summary.
- Business owners asking whether a company is financially stable need period-specific numeric evidence and risk flags.
Best For
- Equity research analysts screening fundamentals: they need to turn financial ratios into checkable judgments.
- Earnings-quality researchers: they want to test whether reported profits convert into cash.
- Institutional risk reviewers: they need to flag high leverage, short-term debt pressure, and weak repayment buffer.
- Investment-research engineers: they want to standardize financial analysis into structured agent output.
