About this skill
Problem
Financial data for stocks, bonds, funds, indexes, and sectors is spread across market quotes, financial fields, and valuation indicators. Users often need to check latest price, price change, turnover rate, trading volume, PE, PB, target price, support levels, or resistance levels, and compare multiple instruments in one request. Manually splitting the query can cause relative time terms to be rewritten, instrument names to be shortened incorrectly, or the original context to be lost.
How It Works
The skill targets tasks such as checking values, inspecting indicators, and comparing performance. It passes the user's original question as the query parameter to queryIndicator and returns structured Markdown. On success, data.answer can be displayed directly. On failure, error.category distinguishes validation, business, and network issues, making it easier to tell parameter errors, business errors, and network timeouts apart. It supports real-time and historical quotes, atomic indicators, news-related financial data, and valuation metrics, as well as aggregate or related queries. HT_APIKEY is required, while QUERY_INDICATOR_SERVICE_URL is optional. The key is read from environment variables, then a local config file, then an empty value.
Boundaries and Notes
This skill does not handle pure coding questions, conditional stock screening, trade execution, non-financial news, individual stock diagnosis, or investment calendars. Keep the original wording when calling it: do not split one question into multiple calls, do not replace relative time with specific dates, do not abbreviate instrument names, and do not add extra explanations. It provides financial indicator and market retrieval results, not trade execution or investment advice.
Use Cases
- Review pre-market updates by checking a stock's previous high, turnover, and turnover rate
- Compare two funds' latest price, price change, and trading volume for a morning briefing
- Draft a weekly market report by fetching index prices, amplitude, and sector trading volume
- Prepare a client valuation note by querying net profit, PE, and PB for a stock
Best For
- Securities advisors who need quick access to quotes, valuation, and financial metrics for client consultation
- Financial data analysts who compare stock or fund indicators for market review materials
- Wealth managers who check target price, support, and resistance levels before morning briefings
- Industry researchers who collect index, sector, and stock trading data for weekly reports
