About this skill
Problem context
Stores and operations teams often need to send morning checklists, preparation tasks, and monthly inventory sheets to kitchen thermal printers. Hand-building ESC/POS payloads can easily miss centering, enlarged text, paper cutting, or Chinese encoding, while ad hoc scripts for scheduled reprints scatter across machines. This skill narrows the job to one concrete task: send consistently formatted task sheets to Meituan thermal printers over TCP Socket, and keep printers, templates, and scheduled jobs in one local workflow.
How it works
Core capabilities include:
- Printer management: maintain devices by IP, port, alias, and role; run connectivity checks; read and write local configuration, typically in config.json.
- Print jobs: confirm the target printer, then choose between one-off printing and scheduled printing, submit a title and body with time markers, invoke the print script, and report the result.
- Templates and schedules: the web admin UI can maintain preset templates such as morning checklists, closing lists, weekly reports, and monthly inventory sheets; scheduled jobs can trigger daily, weekly, or monthly and be exported to system-level schedulers so they run even if the web service is stopped.
Boundaries
This is best suited for printers on the same LAN as the workstation, using the standard 9100 port. Chinese text is handled with GB18030, and connection timeout is around 5 seconds by default. If the port is nonstandard, the device is offline, or the printer does not support Chinese thermal labels, verify the device configuration first.
Use Cases
- Send a formatted morning checklist to the kitchen printer before shift start
- Schedule the vegetable station task sheet to print automatically at a daily time
- Generate a beverage preparation list from a template and send it to the front desk
- Add, test, and remove branch printers from the local web admin interface
Best For
- Store managers who need to send daily checklists to kitchen and front desk printers
- Operations staff who need to configure scheduled task sheets by station and branch
- Support engineers who maintain multiple LAN thermal printers and shared templates
- Shift supervisors who need to print morning or closing checklists and verify output
