About this skill

Problem

Many scheduling tools store events but do not treat statutory holidays, make-up workdays, and rotation as first-class rules. That makes year-end workday counts, weekly calendars, and shift tables easy to miscount. workday-calendar treats those local calendar rules as a queryable, importable, and exportable workflow.

How It Works

It stores interval rules in JSON and decides each date by priority: make-up workday outranks temporary rest, public rest, rotation, statutory holiday, weekend, and regular workday. Key operations include:
- Holiday import: load a rules template JSON for a year, write holidays and make-up days, then verify with rules
- Workday statistics: calculate annual working days using configured weekend rules and rest types
- Schedule and shifts: add, update, delete, and query personal events with conflict detection; support 15-minute shift slots
- Calendar export: generate HTML weekly calendars, shift calendars, and week/month range tables

For a new year, if holiday data is missing, it expects the official annual holiday notice to be looked up, converted into a template, imported, and checked before calculating totals.

Boundaries

This skill manages local calendar data, not Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, and does not design calendar UI components. It should not trigger for simple date questions without holiday, workday, or scheduling intent.

Use Cases

  • HR imports annual holiday rules and verifies workdays.
  • Scheduler builds 15-minute shift weeks and exports HTML.
  • PM adds review meetings and checks scheduling conflicts.
  • Team sets statutory holiday intervals for a new year.

Best For

  • HR: imports holiday rules and verifies annual workdays.
  • Schedulers: configure 15-minute shifts and export calendars.
  • PMs: maintain schedules and detect conflicts.
  • Analysts: use holiday and rotation rules for workday stats.
