Problem

Reports often already exist as docx or md files, and business data lives in xlsx files, but turning that material into slides still requires manual pagination, formatting, charting, and asset search. ppt-auto-generator targets these “content done, presentation pending” workflows for performance reviews, project retrospectives, roadshows, and thesis defenses.

How It Works

It runs a closed loop from requirements parsing to export summary:

• Document splitting: reads title hierarchy and separates cover, agenda, body, and summary pages.
• Chart insertion: reads spreadsheet values and generates bar, line, or pie charts mapped to relevant slides.
• Template styling: applies brief, project, roadshow, or academic layouts with consistent fonts, spacing, headers, and footers.
• Layout control: caps text per slide to reduce overflow and visual imbalance.
• Asset keywords: outputs commercial image search keywords for each slide and aggregates them into a keyword list.

Boundaries

It produces basic, editable .pptx decks. It does not download or insert images, nor create complex animations or special vector graphics. Documents with heavy merged cells or hand-drawn nonstandard tables may require manual pagination review.
