About this skill
Problem Solved
Investors often need a fast pre-market view of overnight developments: US, European, and Asian indices, commodities, FX, bonds, policy news, earnings events, lockup expiries, and capital flows. Pulling these manually from multiple sources is time-consuming and can miss key events or create inconsistent sourcing.
How It Works
This skill uses the Gildata MCP financial database to assemble a structured morning brief. Key steps include concurrent retrieval of global index data, commodities, FX, and bond yields; reading macro, market, and industry news plus research views; and summarizing earnings disclosures, lockup expiries, trading halts, economic calendars, northbound/southbound flows, margin trading, and sector performance. It produces Markdown and HTML reports, with footnotes and dates on key figures to support source tracing.
Boundaries
It is best suited for trading-day morning review and event tracking, not real-time trade signals. Quotes may be T+1, news may lag by minutes, and research views may reflect the prior day. Coverage of niche markets or crypto depends on the data source. The MCP service and API key must be configured, and data-source rate limits must be respected. Output is for informational reference only and does not constitute investment advice.
Use Cases
- Before the trading-day open, compile overnight global indices, commodities, FX, and bond quotes into a traceable pre-meeting brief.
- Before the morning meeting, summarize macro news, company announcements, research views, and today’s earnings or lockup events for daily priorities.
- Merge northbound flows, margin data, and sector performance into pre-market strategy notes to support a pre-trade risk check.
Best For
- Financial research analysts who need a fast pre-market view of global market moves
- Investment operations staff compiling financial calendars, policy meetings, and capital flows into morning meeting materials
- Technical engineers building structured reporting workflows on an MCP financial database
