Problem

Traditional I Ching knowledge is spread across hexagram names, hexagram statements, line texts, changing-line rules, and casting methods. A user who wants to query, cast, or interpret a hexagram often has to manage the 64-hexagram table, trigram structure, changing-line priorities, and terminology at the same time. yi organizes this kind of request into conversational tasks: clarify the question, choose a casting method, and then explain the hexagram through a fixed set of dimensions.

How It Works

• 64-hexagram lookup: supports queries by name, sequence number, or trigram basics, such as look up Qian, what is the third hexagram, and the combined structure of upper and lower trigrams.
• Divination casting: supports coin casting, number casting, and time casting, for example cast a hexagram for me, cast with 123, and cast with the current time.
• Hexagram interpretation: analyzes hexagram statement, tuan commentary, image commentary, line text, changing lines, nuclear hexagram, opposite hexagram, and inverted hexagram, including the priority rules for one to six changing lines.
• I Ching philosophy: connects the explanation to concepts such as yin and yang, the three powers, and timely position, aiming at interpretation rather than a bare verdict.
• Decision reference: frames the process as clarifying the question, casting with focus, analyzing the hexagram, inspecting changing lines, making a balanced judgment, and acting accordingly.

Boundaries

The skill is useful for I Ching lookup, hexagram explanation, and decision prompting, but it should not be treated as a deterministic prediction tool.
