Problem

When a user needs to check what recently happened to an event, person, or company, generic web search can mix in low-quality posts, duplicate reposts, and AI-generated text. ZAKER News Search narrows the search to ZAKER’s news corpus and returns verifiable headlines, authors, and summaries around a keyword, which fits fact-checking and event tracking.

How It Works

Converts natural language into search parameters: required keyword, optional start_time and end_time in YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss
Calls GET https://skills.myzaker.com/api/v1/article/search?v=1.0.6 with no API key, returning up to 20 ranked items
Checks stat and extracts title, summary, author, and publish_time from data.list
Formats the output as a clean feed of title, summary, and author, without original URLs

Boundaries And Notes

Keep keywords under 20 characters; split complex topics into more specific terms
Each call returns at most 20 items, so refine the keyword rather than expecting pagination
The Chinese news corpus is more complete, while English queries may return fewer hits
This skill provides summary-level news only and is not intended for full-text scraping, comments, or live market data
