About this skill
Problem
RSS feeds often arrive as fragmented items, duplicated links, and long summaries that are hard to skim. This skill turns configured feeds into a Chinese, mobile-friendly news menu while preserving the raw normalized result for follow-up expansion, comparison, and workflow handoff.
How It Works
The skill treats the filesystem as working memory: preferences.yaml stores user preferences, references/config.yaml stores RSS sources and grouping, and scripts/rss_reader.py fetches, parses, deduplicates, and writes to ~/.cache/rss-reader/latest.json. The first pass emits a menu; when the user asks to expand, compare, inspect demoted categories, or change preferences, it loads only the relevant cached result and references/output-format.md. Recurring failures or useful corrections can be recorded in references/pitfalls.md.
Boundaries
Output defaults to Chinese and avoids copying long RSS text verbatim; links appear mainly during expansion or on request. Results depend on source configuration, network access, parsing, and deduplication, so empty output should be checked against fetch failures, missing parsed items, or history deduplication.
