About this skill

Problem

Options trading often separates flow, wave position, volatility state, trend, and liquidity into different charting habits, making it hard to form a unified entry standard. Relying on one indicator alone can lead to overreaching decisions during false breakouts or liquidity traps.

How It Works

options-trading-brain organizes five inputs into one signal rulebook:
- Whale flow: tracks $25K+ premium, sweep/block/ask-side fills, and ranks executions as sweeps > blocks > splits > single fills.
- Elliott Wave: treats Wave 3 as a stronger momentum location and Wave 5 as exhaustion risk, while checking the Wave 2 retracement, Wave 3 length, and Wave 4 overlap rules.
- Bollinger Bands: uses BB width, squeeze state, and moving-average alignment to judge trend confirmation, requiring weekly/daily direction agreement for higher conviction.
- Trend engine: evaluates price against MA20 and MA50 to determine trend direction.
- Liquidity zones: builds four-layer strike walls using OI concentration, GEX, PCR, and Max Pain proximity to identify put/call OI support and resistance.

The signal hierarchy requires 3+ aligned dimensions: Whale + Wave 3 + Trend/Bollinger maps to HIGH, Whale + 2 others maps to MEDIUM, and no whale signal means no trade. Included scripts include whale_scanner.py, elliott_wave.py, bollinger_analyzer.py, trend_engine.py, liquidity_map.py, and signal_generator.py.

Boundaries

This is closer to a research checklist and signal-generation workflow than a real-time market data system or automated execution strategy. The quality of conclusions depends on input data quality, timeframe selection, and indicator parameters; missing ask-side fills, OI, GEX, or Max Pain data will materially weaken the signal.

Use Cases

  • During post-market review of unusual ask-side fills, verify $25K+ premium and classify whale direction.
  • When strike walls show dense OI, mark support and resistance using OI, GEX, PCR, and Max Pain proximity.
  • Before entry, combine wave position, Bollinger squeeze, and MA alignment into a HIGH or MEDIUM signal.
  • When drafting an options weekly note, list no-trade, low-conviction, and watchlist candidates using the same rules.

Best For

  • Proprietary options traders: want a unified pre-trade check for whale flow, wave position, and liquidity signals.
  • Options strategy researchers: need to turn OI, GEX, PCR, and Max Pain into reusable support/resistance maps.
  • Quant research engineers: want a script-based workflow to generate HIGH/MEDIUM/NONE signals for strategy review.
  • Options weekly-note writers: need to compress multiple indicator reads into one consistent trading stance.
