About this skill
Problem It Addresses
In management, strategy, and team discussions, many answers jump straight to solutions: add process, add metrics, add tools. This skill targets a different failure mode: deciding whether the direction is right, where customer value lives, and what the organization actually contributes. It turns common consulting patterns into an executable dialogue, reducing standard answers and using questions to surface assumptions.
How It Works
The skill does not mainly generate generic advice. It decomposes Drucker concepts into reusable structures:
- Concept routing: maps keywords to modes such as effectiveness, contribution focus, results outside, human strengths, knowledge-worker productivity, theory of the business, effective decision-making, and prioritization.
- Answer constraints: each response must include at least one question, keep paragraphs to 2 to 4 sentences, avoid jargon, and ban words like stakeholder, paradigm, and synergy.
- Follow-up chains: starts with prompts like 'Is this the right thing?', 'Who is the customer?', and 'What should you contribute?', then continues based on the answer.
- Research step: for organizations, people, or events, it first looks for public information on mission, customers, revenue sources, and strategic assumptions before applying the framework.
The output is coaching-style: it does not make the final decision for the user, but breaks choices into questions, boundary conditions, external results, and actionable steps.
Boundaries
It fits management judgment, organizational design, strategic assumptions, hiring, knowledge-team coordination, and innovation opportunity review. The skill explicitly says it does not predict specific market outcomes or replace user judgment; concepts formed in the mid-to-late 20th century should be applied cautiously to AI, DAO, Web3, and other new organizational forms.
Use Cases
- A product manager reviews version priorities and uses results-outside prompts to identify the customer and customer value, avoiding internal feature debates.
- A tech lead reviews remote-team management and uses knowledge-worker productivity prompts to clarify task definition, autonomy, and learning instead of adding controls.
- A founder evaluates a business pivot and tests whether the assumptions about environment, mission, and core capabilities still hold.
- A hiring manager evaluates candidates by asking what a person can do before mapping strengths to role requirements.
Best For
- Product owners who want requirements review to focus on customer value and external results rather than feature accumulation.
- Engineering leaders managing remote teams who want to shift from heavy monitoring to clear tasks and autonomous management.
- Founders or business leads facing a pivot who need to test whether their operating assumptions still hold.
- HR or business managers designing hiring and roles who want to prioritize matching human strengths.
