Storefront Signboard Design

Problem Addressed

When a physical store renovates its storefront, replaces signage, or improves visual appeal, teams usually need a realistic preview before deciding on typography scale, material texture, color, and layout. Manual design iteration can be slow, especially when the request is local, such as “keep the structure but make the style fresher” or “increase clarity and texture.” This skill targets that use case: given an original storefront image and design requirements, it returns a signboard design preview and follow-up optimization suggestions.

How It Works

The skill uses an asynchronous task workflow so long-running generation does not block the conversation. The main pipeline includes:
- Safety review: the original storefront image is validated first; if it fails review, generation stops.
- Visual feature extraction: analyzes color tone, material, typography, layout, and style cues.
- Intent parsing: interprets user requirements such as style change, text enlargement, clarity improvement, or output ratio.
- Prompt fusion and image generation: combines visual features with design intent to generate a signboard effect image.
- Result packaging: returns the design image link, structured optimization notes, alternative styles, and next-step implementation advice.

In production, the task is submitted through execute_task.py, which returns a task_id, then query_task.py polls the status. Each polling response should be surfaced to the user until the task completes. The img_url field is required and accepts a URL or base64 string; base64 payloads should be compressed when possible.

Boundaries and Notes

This skill is suitable for storefront sign refreshes, signage style previews, clarity and texture upgrades, and related design assistance. Without an appKey, it can run in simulation mode and return a complete preview JSON, but the result is only a preview and not a real generated image. Real calls require a ShowAPI appKey, and all tasks are asynchronous by design; synchronous execution is not supported.
