About this skill
Problem
Amazon listing optimization is rarely about one weak field. The harder issue is that titles, bullets, descriptions, Search Terms, backend keywords, image alt text, and competitor messaging are often inconsistent. Sellers can see scattered symptoms such as weak keywords, underdeveloped bullets, or pricing gaps, but may not know which fields to fix first, which keywords to add, or which competitor selling points to adopt.
How It Works
amazon-listing-analyzer uses built-in rules and templates to turn listing diagnosis into reviewable steps:
- Health scoring: Parses the title, bullet points, description, Search Terms, and backend keywords, then scores title quality, bullet coverage, description structure, image descriptions, keyword fill, and compliance on a 0–100 scale, with a weighted overall score and issue list.
- Keyword analysis: Generates seed keywords from product information, then ranks them by search-volume level, competition level, and relevance, producing a keyword matrix and a prioritized shortlist.
- Competitor benchmarking: Accepts a competitor ASIN or product description, matches similar products, and compares title structure, price range, rating distribution, review count, and core selling points to identify differentiation opportunities.
- Optimization package: Combines health, keyword, and competitor findings into prioritized recommendations for titles, bullets, descriptions, keyword completion, and image assets.
Boundaries
It is aimed at mid-level sellers with $5k–$200k monthly sales and 1–5 years of operating experience. It does not call real-time APIs or request Amazon credentials, and its output is advisory rather than an Amazon compliance guarantee. Inputs longer than 10,000 characters are rejected, and personal information should not be submitted.
Use Cases
- In week one, score a new listing's title, bullets, and backend keywords, then list priority fixes.
- After product selection, generate a seed-keyword matrix and shortlist priority terms.
- Before repricing, compare a competitor ASIN's title structure, price range, and selling points.
- During monthly review, merge health scores, keywords, and competitor findings into an action list.
Best For
- Mid-level Amazon sellers with $5k–$200k monthly sales who need a listing audit and priority fixes.
- Keyword-focused operators who need a seed-keyword matrix and a prioritized shortlist.
- Product-selection staff who need competitor ASIN comparisons on price, selling points, and reviews.
- Multi-store operators who need to merge scores, keywords, and competitor findings into recommendations.
