About this skill
Problem
When pricing a new product, entering a market, or planning a team transformation, the usual issue is not a lack of information but fragmented analysis: one person uses only SWOT, another focuses only on risk, and the conclusion is hard to turn into action.
How It Works
Business Decision Analyst turns business judgment into a reusable structured workflow. It reads business_decision and, when no model is specified, matches model combinations by keywords. For example, a new-product scenario may use Kano + 4P + SWOT + FMEA + OGSM, while pricing may focus on 4P + first principles + decision trees. The output always has five parts: core conclusion, model analysis details, an FMEA risk table, an OGSM execution path, and a task priority matrix.
It supports three depth levels:
- basic: 2-3 models for quick judgment
- standard: default, 5-8 models for routine project review
- deep: 10-15 models for major strategic decisions
It also controls granularity with output_style: report produces a full report, quick compresses conclusions and key risks, and list returns only an executable task list.
Boundaries
This skill is limited to business decision analysis and does not provide legal, financial, or medical advice. Analysis quality depends on the completeness of input information. If cost, competitor, or target-market details are missing, it prompts for follow-up. Final decisions should still be grounded in real business data.
Use Cases
- Assess a product launch plan and generate a feasibility judgment and risk list using Kano, 4P, and SWOT
- Before market entry, combine Porter's Five Forces, Blue Ocean Strategy, and moat analysis to judge competition
- In project review, convert the decision into FMEA risk tables, OGSM execution paths, and P0/P1/P2 task lists
- When pricing lacks cost or competitor data, trigger follow-up questions and produce a quick conclusion
Best For
- Product managers preparing launch proposals who need to turn feature priorities and risk conclusions into review reports
- Business owners planning annual growth who need to translate strategy into OGSM metrics and tasks
- Operations leads reviewing cross-functional projects who need to identify risks with FMEA and assign mitigation actions
- Founders building market-entry plans who need to compare competitive landscape, pricing, and customer acquisition strategy
