Problem
Engineers often need to turn scattered WeChat Official Account articles, album pages, and browser context into a searchable, incrementally maintained knowledge base. Manually converting articles to Markdown, downloading images, and maintaining deduplication lists creates repeated work; batch runs can still hit API changes, expired cookies, failed image downloads, and external knowledge-base permission boundaries.
How It Works
The skill centers on wechat-article-archive and covers several archiving paths:
- Single-article archiving: parses one accessible article and outputs Markdown, HTML, JSON, DOCX, PDF, and other formats while localizing images.
- Batch archiving: reads links.txt, supports resume, random rate limiting, deduplication, and failure reports to reduce duplicate fetches.
- Album / browser context: extracts article links from public album pages or user-provided page context, then optionally continues archiving.
- Incremental library: maintains catalog.json, skips articles already indexed, and emits incremental-report.md/json.
- Lark / IMA handoff: generates offline import packages, handoff-tasks.json, and HANDOFF.md, supporting external write handoff after authorization.
Boundaries
It is intended for public or authorized content the user is permitted to access. It should not be used to bypass login, CAPTCHA, paywalls, or permission limits, nor to promise full-history scraping of an account. History discovery depends on the user's valid login state or profile parameters; online Lark / IMA writes require explicit authorization, otherwise only offline packages and handoff checklists are delivered.
