About this skill

The Problem

Companies handling hiring, onboarding, probation, role changes, and offboarding often hit the same friction: unclear which statute applies, imprecise clause citations, and inconsistent document formats. For HR, operations, and business owners, compliance decisions cannot rely on informal experience alone; if a case later enters arbitration, audit, or customer due diligence, the reasoning must trace back to specific clauses.

How the Skill Works

The skill turns statutory text and HR templates into a query workflow:
- Scenario detection: determine whether the request belongs to hiring, offer, onboarding, contracts, employee handbooks, probation, transfers, or offboarding.
- Clause lookup: read references/scene-mapping.json to retrieve the relevant legal provisions for that scenario.
- Source review: read the clause text in references/laws/ instead of generating provisions from memory.
- Deliverable generation: output a compliance checklist, legal analysis, or a printable HTML document based on assets/hr-templates/.

Boundaries and Notes

It is useful for converting routine HR questions into clause-backed checklists and document drafts, but it does not replace formal legal advice. Cases involving large-scale employment, cross-border hiring, complex non-competes, or arbitration preparation still require manual review of the latest rules, local enforcement practice, and evidence. Before finalizing a document, confirm company name, role, salary, service address, and assessment criteria.

Use Cases

  • Screen a job description for prohibited hiring language and generate a compliant posting template.
  • Check offer letters for effective-date clauses, receipt acknowledgment, and delivery fields before sending.
  • Build onboarding forms and confirmations while marking required personal-information fields.
  • Use the scene7 checklist to decide whether a transfer requires consent and draft the transfer notice.

Best For

  • HR managers handling campus and social hiring who need to screen JD and offer risks before sending documents.
  • Onboarding owners who need to standardize registration and confirmation forms with required statutory fields.
  • Operations leads who need to decide whether transfers require consent and keep written support.
  • HR BPs who need to draft termination agreements and handover forms with clause references.
