About this skill

Problem It Solves

With 5,000+ A-share stocks, single moving-average, wave, or volume-price signals often fail in choppy markets. war-wave-picker puts Chan theory moving averages, Elliott waves, and volume-price rules into one pipeline to answer which stocks align on trend, entry timing, and risk state.

How It Works

The system uses main_wave_picker_v2.py as the entry point, first judging weekly direction, then applying a three-gate filter: moving-average scoring, buy-signal grading, and 30-minute MACD divergence validation. Key modules include weekly_fusion.py for weekly trend, gatekeeper_v2.py for gate logic, volume_price_analysis.py for R1-R7/H1-H7 volume rules, and m30_analysis.py for short-term entry checks. It outputs A/B/C/D position levels, A1/A2/B1/B2 buy grades, and S1/S2/S3/S11 exit warnings rather than a simple watchlist.

Boundaries and Cautions

The workflow depends heavily on K-line data quality. Initial full sync can take 30-45 minutes, and incremental updates are needed after market close. It is suitable for daily and 30-minute A-share trend screening, not for day-trading, news-driven trades, or fundamentals screening. Thresholds such as the -30% crash filter and 110-point moving-average score are preset and should still be validated in backtests.

Use Cases

  • After market close, pull full A-share K-line data, run weekly direction and moving-average scoring, then shortlist A or B trend stocks.
  • Before entering a position, review candidates for A1 or A2 buy grades, plus 30-minute MACD divergence validation and volume-price health.
  • While holding positions, monitor S1 and S2 exit warnings, such as MA5 or MA13 breaks, dead crosses, and MACD rejection, to decide risk exits.
  • During daily sector review, use sector trend detection to identify leading stocks and track whether volume-price signals remain healthy after each close.

Best For

  • Quant researchers tracking A-share trend trades who want a unified buy-grade screen from Chan moving averages and volume-price rules.
  • Individual investors managing multiple positions who need post-close trend grades and exit warnings for their watchlist.
  • Trading team leads reviewing sector rotation who want to track sector leaders and volume-price health.
  • Data engineers maintaining local K-line databases who need daily and 30-minute initialization, incremental refresh, and screening scripts.
