About this skill

Problem

Company due diligence often scatters registration data, bidding records, competitors, and public risk signals across separate channels. This skill targets a concrete workflow: given a company name, return an actionable report for partner review, competitor mapping, and bidder validation. It combines bidding intelligence, business keywords, customer/supplier relationships, and public risk checks into a chat report and an exportable HTML report.

How it works

The main flow has seven steps:
- Entity resolution: use search_company to align short names or ambiguous names to a single entity; ask for confirmation when there are multiple candidates.
- Base profile: combine get_company_profile and get_company_business_keywords to infer core business and keyword themes.
- Ecosystem mapping: use get_company_partners to inspect customer and supplier structure.
- Award evidence: aggregate recent awards, amounts, regions, and key projects via search_bids, query_bids_advanced, and aggregate_bids_advanced.
- Competitive set: identify overlapping bidders with find_competitors and add lightweight profiles for top competitors.
- Public risk: use WebSearch for official sites, news, litigation, and administrative penalties, stating facts with source links.
- Contacts: query get_company_contacts only on demand, with masked output and no number completion.

Boundaries

Single-company reports consume about 10-18 credits, and dual-company comparisons about 20-28 credits. This skill fits company-centric analysis; for project-level bid decisions, opportunity mining, or raw bidding search, use the corresponding tools. Reports emphasize traceability: missing data is marked as a data gap, and public risk items are stated as public information rather than judged as wrongdoing.

Use Cases

  • A procurement team receives a partner invitation and needs to verify core business, customers, suppliers, and public risks before negotiation.
  • A sales lead receives one winning bidder and needs to check recent project scale, award amounts, and key clients to assess delivery capacity.
  • A business team compares two competitors across customer structure, award records, and market position to support bid strategy.
  • A risk reviewer checks a potential partner for litigation and administrative penalties, keeping source links for later audit.

Best For

  • A procurement specialist handling vendor onboarding who needs an auditable company background report for a new partner.
  • A bid manager who needs to assess a competitor's award strength, customer base, and likely competing projects.
  • A market or competitive analyst who needs to compare two companies' customers, awards, and market footprint.
  • A risk or legal assistant who needs to summarize public litigation and administrative penalty signals with source links.
