About this skill

Problem

When comparing financial data across multiple stocks, manually querying reports or APIs can lead to inconsistent fields, malformed parameters, and ad hoc authentication. @org-mijzrode/gfstockvaluation targets this workflow by packaging Guangfa Securities' financial comparison lookup into a reusable API call, useful once a set of stock codes is known.

How It Works

Before making a request, the skill should check the GF_SKILLS_APIKEY environment variable; if no valid key is present, it should stop and direct the user to the configured skills-market for key setup. It then sends a POST request to https://mcp-api.gf.com.cn/gf-skills/skills/mcp/call with an Authorization: Bearer ${GF_SKILLS_APIKEY} header. The request body sets service_name to quant, tool_name to common_basic_post, and passes the target tickers in args.stock_codes, for example SZ000776 and SZ000001.

Boundaries

This skill depends on a remote endpoint and a valid key, so it is not suitable for offline use, keyless environments, or local full-statement parsing. Validate stock-code formats before calling, and treat the response fields as defined by quant/common_basic_post; do not assume that all financial metrics, year-over-year changes, or analytical conclusions are included.

Use Cases

  • After collecting A-share codes, call Guangfa's `quant` service with `common_basic_post` for financial comparison data.
  • Once `GF_SKILLS_APIKEY` is set, submit `stock_codes` to query basic financial fields for multiple stocks.
  • In a stock-screening pipeline, send an array of SZ codes to the `quant` API for unified data retrieval.
  • Before calling, verify `GF_SKILLS_APIKEY`; if missing, stop the request and direct users to skills-market.

Best For

  • Quant engineers integrating stock data who want to incorporate Guangfa's financial-comparison endpoint into existing scripts.
  • Analyst assistants maintaining research workflows who need to fetch basic financial fields by stock codes in batches.
  • Platform engineers integrating skills who need to handle `GF_SKILLS_APIKEY` auth and a unified API call.
  • Tooling developers building stock-selection features who want to use `quant/common_basic_post` as a data source.
