Turning text into publish-ready audio usually means manually choosing a voice, adjusting pacing, and retrying until the tone sounds right. Vidu Audio Generation wraps Vidu's TTS and voice-cloning APIs into a conversational skill for short video, tutorials, multilingual content, and temporary voice replication.
How It Works
It recommends a Voice ID based on content context, such as business, education, playful, or English/Japanese/Korean voice options. The main workflow is:
- TTS synthesis: text is converted to a synchronous audio URL, with speed, volume, pitch, and emotion controls.
- Pause control: explicit markers set second-level pauses for better narration rhythm.
- Voice cloning: a clear 10-second to 5-minute sample creates a temporary voice, which must be used in TTS within 7 days to be retained.
- Region routing: Simplified Chinese defaults to api.vidu.cn, while other languages use api.vidu.com.
For long text over 30 characters, use the --text-file parameter to avoid CLI argument issues.
Boundaries
This skill is not a full audio editor and does not guarantee permanent voice ownership or content clearance. Cloning samples must be clean and free of background noise, and results can still fail due to API key, Voice ID, duration, or task errors. The key output is a directly accessible audio URL.
