About this skill
Problem
Cross-border compliance, foreign litigation, and investment research often stall on one practical step: locating and interpreting overseas legal requirements. Clauses are scattered across official gazettes, regulatory guides, and multilingual sources, while scope of application and exemptions are harder to infer from raw text. This skill is aimed at engineering, legal, and research workflows: give it a target market, compliance question, or comparative-law issue, and it retrieves regulation text, key clauses, and supporting materials, then produces a Chinese report that can be traced back to official sources.
How It Works
It focuses on major jurisdictions such as the United States, the European Union, and Singapore, drawing from sources like USC/CFR, EUR-Lex, Singapore Statutes Online, official gazettes, and regulator guidance. The run flow starts with a health check for API credentials, service status, and available templates, then launches the research task. The report is usually structured by jurisdiction, applicable regulations, clause interpretation, legislative background, scope of application, compliance points, and source links. Key provisions keep their original numbering and include concise Chinese summaries.
Boundaries
This skill does not cover domestic Chinese regulations and does not replace licensed lawyers in issuing formal legal opinions. It is best used for public legal research, mapping, and sourcing; non-English jurisdictions, local rules, and unpublished regulatory guidance may be incomplete. Each run consumes credits and may take time, so the report should be reviewed as delivered rather than paraphrased prematurely.
Use Cases
- Assess EU AI Act scope and compliance requirements before product launch, with source-linked clauses.
- Review current US semiconductor export controls and identify EAR trigger boundaries for product exports.
- Map GDPR cross-border data transfer rules for product data-flow compliance review.
- Research Singapore PDPA core provisions to build an overseas SaaS compliance checklist.
Best For
- Compliance engineers who need to scope EU AI Act requirements before launching overseas products.
- Export-control analysts who must verify EAR/ITAR clauses and applicable exemptions.
- Investment due-diligence analysts reviewing CFIUS or EU FDI mechanisms for cross-border deals.
- Product managers preparing GDPR/PDPA data-compliance checklists for overseas SaaS launches.
