About this skill

Problem

A big clean often fails because tasks are too vague to share. Household or shared-apartment cleaning includes multiple subtasks per room — dusting, scrubbing, mopping, sorting — while participants differ in age, mobility, and available time. Simple room rotation can create unfair workload, missed areas, and conflicts in small spaces.

How It Works

This skill models deep cleaning as a task allocation problem. Given rooms, people, available time, and special constraints, it breaks each room into subtasks, assigns a difficulty level and estimated duration, then calculates workload points from difficulty and time. It balances points across members, orders tasks to avoid spatial conflicts, and outputs a supplies checklist. Children, elderly users, or pregnant participants can be routed to lighter tasks such as sorting or low-surface cleaning; periodic rotation can also be generated.

Boundaries

It is intended for self-managed home or shared-apartment cleaning, ideally with 2 to 8 people. Area and duration estimates may deviate; professional jobs such as range-hood cleaning, AC servicing, or move-in cleaning should be outsourced. The schedule is a fair allocation and checklist, not a minute-precise mandate.

Use Cases

  • Plan a weekend deep clean for a 3-bedroom home with two kids, assigning light tasks to elderly children and generating a supplies list.
  • Create a biweekly rotation for four roommates so total difficulty-time points stay within 10% per person.
  • Generate a one-person two-bedroom cleaning sequence: sort, dust, scrub, mop, with breaks.
  • Flag professional jobs like range-hood or AC deep cleaning before scheduling the remaining household tasks.

Best For

  • Busy household members who need a weekend deep-clean checklist with balanced room-level tasks.
  • Parents with children or elderly family members who want light, safe tasks assigned to them.
  • Roommates or co-living residents who need a fair recurring rotation for shared cleaning areas.
  • Solo residents who want a sequenced one-bedroom or two-bedroom clean with breaks and no missed spots.
