About this skill

Problem

In everyday chat, team channels, friend check-ins, or first-date messages, a reply is not only information transfer. It also has to fit the relationship, tone, and boundary. A direct answer can feel stiff, while overly polished wording can sound fake. High EQ Reply addresses the practical problem of turning the other person's message, relationship type, and desired outcome into a few natural, usable reply options.

How It Works

The skill breaks the context into four variables: original message, relationship type, setting, and desired outcome. It then generates 2–4 candidates with different styles, such as light acknowledgment, empathetic support, humor, or a professional workplace response, and labels each with tone and fit. It can also adjust the wording toward playful, gentle, rational, or direct expression.

Boundaries

It is best used as a drafting aid for communication options. It does not provide psychological counseling, PUA, manipulation scripts, or legal wording. When the other person's intent is ambiguous, it should present multiple interpretations. For serious emotional crises, users should seek professional help. Provide the original message, closeness, and desired outcome for better results; do not treat it as a universal script.

Use Cases

  • After a manager criticizes a proposal in a team channel, generate concise, professional replies that acknowledge feedback without arguing.
  • When a friend vents about a failed startup, generate empathetic support lines that avoid premature advice.
  • When a date sends "what are you doing?", generate openers that extend conversation without sounding interrogative.
  • When receiving praise or thanks from a colleague, generate natural light, reciprocal, and humorous responses.

Best For

  • Ops or PM colleagues who need careful wording for team channels, emails, and cross-functional feedback.
  • Customer success, BD, or HR staff who maintain warm but professional chat with clients, candidates, or partners.
  • Team leads who coach junior staff on reply tone, customer communication, or feedback responses.
  • New professionals who need quick, natural wording for dates, friend support, and workplace feedback.
