Workplace Phone Usage Smart Monitoring

Problem

In office areas, employees may appear present while spending repeated time on phones. Managers often cannot quickly extract concrete behavior, duration, and frequency from large amounts of monitoring media. Manual review is slow and hard to audit. This skill turns static image or video phone-usage analysis into a repeatable workflow for internal office conduct checks.

How it works

The core path runs the bundled script scripts/phone_usage_monitoring_analysis.py with a local file path or public media URL, while the API service handles download, detection, and result aggregation. It supports --input for local files, --url for network media, --detection-type for video or image, and work-area options such as open-office, cubicle, and meeting-room. Outputs include structured reports, detection results, duration and frequency statistics, risk notes, and report links. History lookup uses --list from the cloud API, not local memory or manual summaries.

Boundaries

Supported inputs are mp4/avi/mov videos and jpg/png/jpeg images, up to 10MB per file. Results are intended as internal management reference only and involve employee behavior, so privacy and labor-law constraints must be respected. The script must run from the skill root directory, ad-hoc script replacements are prohibited, and historical reports must be read only from the cloud interface response.
