About this skill

Problem It Solves

Turns a news headline into an evaluable business opportunity. It first finds a credible source, fetches the article body, and cross-checks facts to avoid decisions based on clickbait or a single account. It then decomposes the event using fixed marketing frameworks and produces short-term, mid-term, and strategic opportunities, including product form, target audience, channel plan, and investment/return estimates.

How It Works

The workflow is sequential:
- Step 1 searches for a news URL and extracts the title, publication time, and key paragraphs.
- Step 2 isolates facts: what happened, who is affected, when it happened, why it matters, and the scale involved.
- Step 3 analyzes with 4P, 4C, Porter's Five Forces, and SWOT; policy, growth, and market-structure news can add PEST, AARRR, or STP.
- Step 4 classifies direct, mid-term, and strategic opportunities, then specifies the offer, target buyer, channel strategy, and numeric estimates.
- Step 5 generates a report of at least 800 words, requiring concrete insights and actionable details.

Boundaries

It fits turning breaking business news, policy changes, or industry events into operational or product opportunity lists. It does not replace financial modeling, legal compliance, or investment due diligence; when news facts are sparse, treat the output as hypothesis.

Use Cases

  • Given a policy or industry headline, quickly assess impacts on channels, product, and acquisition, then list executable actions.
  • Break a competitor or pricing news item into 4P, 4C, Porter's Five Forces, and SWOT findings to form response recommendations.
  • Extract sub-3-month information arbitrage and 3-12-month service demands from product launch or supply-chain news.
  • Prepare a weekly operations meeting report from a news event, including target audience, channel strategy, and ROI estimates.

Best For

  • Operations leads responsible for market opportunity assessment, needing to extract executable short-term actions from news.
  • Growth or channel strategy leads who want to convert industry events into acquisition, pricing, and channel adjustment recommendations.
  • Product or business analysts who need to turn news facts into structured framework conclusions and an opportunity list.
  • Small-business owners or founders looking for window-of-opportunity signals from policy, competitor, and supply-chain news.
