About this skill

Problem addressed

Government and enterprise bid documents often stall across template choice, technical writing, formatting, and compliance checks. AI Bid Assistant targets engineering, goods procurement, service outsourcing, operations, and comprehensive projects, turning bid preparation into concrete steps. It outputs plain text that can be pasted into Word, without special code, external links, or unrendered formatting.

How it works

  • Template generation: selects one of five templates in assets/templates/, then fills {placeholder} fields step by step with project basics, bidder information, and key parameters.
  • Content drafting: uses commercial and technical writing guides to draft company profiles, track records, staffing, implementation plans, quality, safety, and schedule sections. It also supports polishing, shortening, expanding, rewording, and itemizing text.
  • Formatting and QA: applies format_standards.md to heading numbering, font hierarchy, spacing, tables, and tables of contents, then checks qualification evidence, clause responses, and prohibited wording using compliance_checklist.md.

Boundaries

It is suited for first drafts, clause expansion, proofreading, and compliance self-checks, but does not replace legal review or verification of real qualifications. Critical fields such as project name, price, legal representative, and certifications should come from the user or remain placeholders, and must not be fabricated.

Use Cases

  • After receiving an engineering tender, generate a bid framework from a template and fill placeholders for project name, duration, and price.
  • Given evaluation criteria, expand technical requirements into response clauses with methods, standards, and qualification references.
  • Paste an existing technical section, then polish, itemize, and standardize formatting for Word-ready plain text.
  • Before submission, review the bid against the compliance checklist for missing qualifications, prohibited wording, and disqualification risks.

Best For

  • Business bid coordinators preparing government or enterprise tenders who need a structured bid framework and key-field completion.
  • Engineers or solution managers drafting technical sections who need implementation, quality, and safety clauses organized.
  • Bid clerks standardizing formatting, generating tables of contents, itemizing clauses, and proofreading text.
  • Project leads checking for missing qualifications, disqualification risks, and prohibited wording before submission.
