Long-form continuation often scatters outlines, characters, hooks, and state across sessions, causing characters to cite facts that have not happened yet, props to vanish, and spatial contradictions. Dragon Writer treats project files as the source of truth and turns writing constraints into an auditable file contract.
How It Works
- Mode selection: supports creating a new book, continuing a chapter, importing existing text, revising direction, and opening a dashboard.
- File contract: reads
author_intent.md,current_state.md,pending_hooks.md,book_rules.md, and related files before changing canon. - Chapter gates: applies a 9-point pre-screening pass, then a genre-adjusted 40-dimension audit, with changes recorded in
audit-drift.md. - Local dashboard: reads the book folder at runtime to show progress, setting completion, character relationships, and chapter reading.
Boundaries
Best for multi-chapter fiction writing that needs consistency checks; not for one-off copywriting. It does not upload data or overwrite existing chapters unless explicitly authorized.
