About this skill
What It Solves
Complex capital stories—company takeovers, celebrity business maps, and industry histories—often mix dense financial terms, fragmented sources, and narrative details. A generic model response can sound broad, lack source triangulation, or tell a story without extracting the underlying capital logic. Wizard Finance Capital Playbook turns this style of analysis into a reusable workflow: build facts first, locate the capital cycle, then restate the case in plain language.
How It Works
- Fact layer: collect evidence across ownership structure, industry positioning, financing history, key figures, public discourse, and historical context; require at least three independent sources for core facts.
- Analysis layer: use the five-stage capital model—dormancy, rise, peak, fracture, and restructuring—to identify where a company, industry, or deal sits in the cycle.
- Expression layer: translate terms such as
VAM,LBO,poison pill, andshort sellinginto language that non-specialists can follow. - Narrative layer: apply the old-god, new-god, and divine-battle structure only when market power is being rewritten, as a narrative enhancement rather than a substitute for data.
- Output layer: produce a report with facts, capital logic, key turning points, estimates, and source grades, clearly marking derived numbers and assumptions.
Where It Fits
It works well for company deep dives, business war retrospectives, industry histories, creator and celebrity capital chains, and annual financial reviews. It is not intended for real-time trading advice, quantitative strategies, legal or tax consulting. Outputs should keep facts separate from interpretations, cite A/B/C source grades, avoid negative characterizations of living people, and disclose methodology when estimating income, valuation, or market size.
Use Cases
- Retrospect Luckin's short, restructuring, and recovery chain with source-graded capital analysis.
- Translate VAM, poison pill, and LBO terms into plain language for non-finance operations teams.
- Draft an old-god-to-new-god narrative for new energy, starting with facts before the three-act structure.
- Map celebrity MCN contracts, revenue splits, and IP ownership into a sourced business-map analysis.
Best For
- Investment research analysts writing M&A retrospectives: organize ownership, financing, and anti-takeover logic into sourced reports.
- Finance writers drafting public-facing explainers: turn complex capital events into evidence-backed, plain-language long-form pieces.
- Creator-economy strategists mapping celebrity businesses: break down MCN contracts, endorsement splits, and IP ownership.
- Industry analysts covering market shifts: frame restructuring in new energy or AI with an old-god versus new-god structure.
