About this skill
Problem
Exam essay grading often stalls when a student has only the draft, no prompt, and feedback that reads like a detached rubric. CET-4/6, postgraduate English, and IELTS Academic writing each have different scoring dimensions, and learners need to know which paragraph misses the task or which sentence weakens Lexical Resource and grammar, not just the total band.
How It Works
The skill follows the teacher role in SKILL.md: it keeps the student's original paragraph first, then adds Chinese feedback after each paragraph. It scores Task Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy, then provides an overall band estimate. Without a prompt, it infers whether the essay is a chart description, argument, or letter, and notes that inference in the output.
Boundaries
It fits exam compositions, especially CET-4/6, postgraduate English, and IELTS Task 1 / Task 2. Input should be readable text; handwritten images are transcribed as best as possible first. If the draft is severely off topic, lacks enough context, or has unclear structure, the 7.5-level rewrite and bilingual comparison become less useful.
Use Cases
- Preparing for IELTS Task 2, paste the essay draft to get paragraph feedback, four criteria scores, and a 7.5-level comparison.
- After CET-4/6 practice, submit only the body to infer the task type and identify vocabulary, grammar, and logic issues.
- Before postgraduate entrance exams, use the skill to locate off-topic points, weak argumentation, and repeated structures.
- With a photographed handwritten draft, transcribe the text first, then receive paragraph feedback and a bilingual improved rewrite.
Best For
- IELTS Academic Writing students who need criterion-based feedback with concrete reasons and actionable revisions.
- CET-4/6 test-takers who want to submit only the draft and identify topic, vocabulary, and grammar issues.
- Postgraduate English exam students who need paragraph-level grading, a 7.5-level rewrite, and bilingual comparison.
- English writing tutors who need to convert student drafts into paragraph feedback, scores, and improved samples.
