About this skill

Problem

Financial feeds are full of noise: clickbait, reposts, emotional calls, unverified numbers, and opinions packaged as facts consume attention without changing decisions. A useful signal should affect expected returns, positioning plans, or observable indicators, rather than create more anxiety.

How It Works

finance-filter first turns inputs into checkable judgments, then outputs signals by user horizon:
- Verification self-check: first selects V0/V1/V2; without tools to verify, it outputs a checklist instead of presenting suspicion as fact, and does not fabricate prices, flows, or report counts.
- Input pre-check: checks source attribution, core facts, and context completeness, so unverified inputs are not pushed directly into the funnel.
- Five-layer funnel: filters by source credibility, fact versus opinion, portfolio relevance, investment horizon, and Priced-In.
- Signal output: returns Noise, Watch, or Must Act, impact direction, Impact, and observable indicators, without buy/sell advice.

Boundaries

It is meant for information filtering, signal grading, and input pre-checks; it is not for price prediction, position sizing, valuation modeling, or replacing professional investment advice. Without user holdings and horizon, only weak thematic relevance judgments are available.

Use Cases

  • Filter a batch of morning financial news and keep signals relevant to the user's holdings and horizon.
  • Split a bullish or bearish item into facts, opinions, source tier, and likely market pricing.
  • Assess a research note or self-media article for credibility and list unverified numbers to check.
  • Classify multiple items into Noise, Watch, and Must Act for downstream investment research.

Best For

  • Investors who consume heavy daily financial news and want only a few actionable signals.
  • Research analysts who need to judge credibility of notes and news before deep dives.
  • Engineers who want to turn market messages into structured signals for data or research skills.
  • Long-term holders who want to reduce information anxiety and lower news-consumption frequency.
