About this skill

Problem

Viral short videos are hard to reproduce because copying frames is less important than reusing the attention and emotional path. Riffkit addresses this by accepting one source—a TikTok link, uploaded video, or analyzed template—extracting its emotion formula, and remapping that mechanism onto the user's own content, character, and product. It fits creators or engineering teams building short-video content without directly reposting footage.

How it works

  • Two generation modes: riff videos remaps a source video's formula; creation videos generates an original ad from a written creative direction.
  • Minimal input: one source is required; character defaults to Auto, product defaults to none, and language defaults to en.
  • Optional creative anchor: content_anchor can specify the selling-point angle or visual fill; it is collaborative, not blocking.
  • Pre-submit confirmation: the skill restates the plan and calls POST /api/riffs only after explicit approval.
  • Task lifecycle: it supports polling, cancellation, retry, and asset download; on HTTP 402 it surfaces the top-up URL without auto-retrying.

Boundaries

The skill does not expose staff or admin features and never publishes videos to external platforms. Requests outside short AI video generation should be declined plainly.

Use Cases

  • After receiving a viral TikTok link, remap its hook and pacing to a health-account persona and new assets.
  • Use an uploaded demo clip as the source and rewrite the same emotional mechanism into a SaaS voiceover script.
  • Reuse an already analyzed platform template to generate ad videos for different characters and languages without re-analysis.
  • Review character, product visibility, language, and content_anchor before deciding whether to submit generation.

Best For

  • Creators running TikTok content operations who need to adapt viral hooks to their own account persona and assets.
  • Content engineers producing product ads who need to insert product selling points into a fixed emotional template and control visibility.
  • Developers managing short-video task workflows who need to poll tasks, cancel failed items, and download final video assets and captions.
  • Localization operations teams who need to output the same source formula in English, Spanish, or Japanese versions.
