Where Travel Logs Fall Apart

Travel notes usually end up as fragments: a caption, a photo, a voice memo. Rebuilding dates, locations, and sequence later is messy when phrases like "yesterday" or "by the lake" have no context.

How The Skill Works

@user_fd308b11/dialogue-travel-skill treats the trip lifecycle as a workflow:
- Start trip: creates an ongoing archive with the trip name and start information.
- Capture moments: stores text, images, audio, and video, using time parsing, location parsing, multimodal description, speech-to-text, and file storage.
- Organize: attaches moments to the active trip, preserving raw file paths and extracted time or location data.
- End trip: seals the archive; new material is rejected unless explicitly added to a named ended trip.
- Export: produces Markdown, HTML, or PDF output.

Fit And Limits

It works well for lightweight on-the-go documentation and exportable travelogues. It is not a precise GPS route analyzer, an advanced album manager, or an offline video-editing pipeline. Images and audio must be saved locally before processing, and ended trips are read-only by default unless you explicitly name the trip for supplemental entries.
