About this skill
What it solves
Pension planning often stops after benefit estimation, leaving a gap between projected shortfalls and actionable design. This skill handles the fourth step: solution design. It does not recalculate pension estimates, living cash flow, or income-gap results; instead, it turns prior conclusions into funding paths, care-resource preparation, layered protection, and inheritance checks.
How it works
The skill organizes the design around lifestyle, aging care, illness, and inheritance:
- Lifestyle: follows retirement goals and cash flow, checks funding pools, and maps shortfalls to replenishment paths.
- Aging care: distinguishes active aging, home care, institutional care, and intensive care, then notes local resources and price confirmation.
- Illness: separates minor illness, accidents, hospitalization, critical illness, and major accidents into different protection paths.
- Inheritance: reviews asset ownership, beneficiaries, method, and timing, rather than treating “owning a house” as completed planning.
Calculations rely on the solutionDesign field from scripts/pension_calculator.py; manual checks are only cross-validation. If the three prior reports are missing, the skill should prompt for them before design.
Limits and notes
It does not name specific insurance products, promise returns, or treat a zero annual gap as “no planning needed.” Self-occupied housing value is not treated as available pension funds, and unconfirmed care prices or medical policies must be marked for verification.
Use Cases
- After pension estimates, cash flow, and gap reports are done, draft funding, care, and protection paths across lifestyle, aging, illness, and inheritance.
- When clients fear care needs, organize home, institutional, and intensive care states, and flag local facilities and prices for verification.
- When clients have medical insurance but worry about hospitalization and special drugs, split minor illness, hospital care, critical illness, and major accidents into protection paths.
- Review asset ownership, beneficiaries, inheritance methods, and timing to avoid treating house ownership as completed inheritance planning.
Best For
- Pension planners who need to turn completed estimates and gap reports into an executable fourth-step solution design.
- Wealth advisors who need to separate medical insurance, hospitalization, critical illness, and major accidents without relying on one product.
- Family finance advisors who need to check real estate ownership, children, asset titles, and inheritance intent without counting the family home as pension funds.
- Aging-care advisors who need to organize home, institutional, and intensive care states and local resources into a care-preparation checklist.
