Why On-Site Hazard Inspection Is Hard

In photos and text descriptions from production sites, hazards often hide in details such as worker behavior, equipment condition, environmental conditions, and PPE usage. Manual review is not only about missing details; it also suffers from inconsistent references, generic corrective actions, and reports that are hard to track. This skill focuses on turning image or text review into a checkable hazard assessment: it identifies risk points, looks up applicable regulations and standards from a knowledge base, and outputs structured results.

How the Skill Works

• Image analysis: examines on-site photos for unsafe operations, equipment defects, blocked passageways, poor lighting, and missing safety helmets, goggles, or gloves.
• Text analysis: parses production steps, worker actions, workflows, and environmental details to locate potential violations.
• Knowledge-base lookup: uses IMA knowledge bases, including hazard patterns, regulations, and standards, with operations such as ima.search and ima.get_document.
• Structured output: produces a table with Hazard Description, Basis, Category, and Remediation.

The boundaries are explicit: it is limited to safety hazard inspection, avoids unrelated questions, expects each finding to be supported by standards or regulations where possible, and says “I don’t know” when uncertain. It is better treated as an inspection assistant rather than a final safety authority.
