About this skill
Problem to solve
In Chinese workplace presentations, the hard part is often not slide design but live questioning and leader intent: technical talks may trigger selection challenges, performance reviews may probe personal contribution, pitch sessions may ask about the business model, and training may invite comparisons with existing courses. General speaking tips can cover delivery, but not high-stakes Q&A scenarios.
How it works
- Scenario modeling: identify the presentation type, duration, audience, existing outline, and the most feared questions before choosing the output focus.
- Structure guidance: suggest opening hooks, pacing, time allocation, and closing strategies, such as a 30-second opener, a small peak every five minutes, and no single point lasting beyond seven minutes.
Q&Arehearsal: classify questions into inquiry, challenge, leader follow-up, topic drift, and trap questions, then provide standard answers, follow-ups, and de-escalation paths, including the “acknowledge / accept / redirect / answer / propose / thank” pattern.- Contingency planning: cover forgetfulness, screen failure, interruptions, time overrun, and challenging questions.
Boundaries
This skill is suitable for preparing presentation flow, Q&A rehearsal, and on-stage responses for reviews, pitches, talks, or training. It does not replace visual PPT design, does not write the full speech on your behalf, and does not present for you. It assumes you already own the business content and are willing to refine answers and contingency plans based on it.
Use Cases
- Before a quarterly tech talk, structure principles, trade-offs, and lessons into a 30-minute flow and rehearse performance challenges.
- Before a performance review, split projects into STAR format and prepare answers for leadership questions on personal contribution and failures.
- Before a pitch, order problem, solution, business model, and funding ask, then rehearse BAT, moat, and team stability questions.
- Before internal training, connect theory, cases, practice, and Q&A, then prepare answers about course differentiation and adoption difficulty.
Best For
- Engineers preparing quarterly technical talks and expecting challenges on stack choices and performance
- Employees preparing performance reviews and worried about leadership questions on personal contribution and failures
- Founders preparing pitches or competitions and needing rehearsal for business model and team stability questions
- Trainers delivering internal courses and expecting questions about adoption difficulty and differentiation from other courses
