Clicking it does not just send a kill signal. It follows the dsh launcher graceful-shutdown path in order—plugins are cleaned up in reverse, the web server is stopped, and only then does the process exit—so you are not left with dangling connections or half-written state. After the process is gone the plugin attempts to close the browser tab automatically; if the browser policy blocks script-driven tab closure a friendly fallback screen appears reminding you to close it manually. A confirm dialog offers a "do not ask again" option, and you can toggle the prompt back on under General Settings at any time.
