The DSH conversation composer is built on a Lexical plain-text editor whose native affordances are limited to Enter for submit and Shift+Enter for soft break. Writing Markdown therefore means typing every literal character by hand. dsh-composer-markdown elevates that structured-writing experience to the level of mature chat products while holding a hard line: no matter how you arrange content in the box, the text you send is always byte-for-byte faithful to literal Markdown.

The core capabilities revolve around three groups of editing gestures. For lists, typing a bullet item and pressing Shift+Enter auto-prefixes the next line with a continuation marker; ordered lists auto-increment their digits, and the renumbering engine closes gaps on delete, restarts on split, and stays nesting-aware. Tab sinks a subtree one level deeper while Shift+Tab lifts it back out to plain text at the top level. For inline code, the moment a pair of backticks closes they vanish and the inner text renders with a monospace face and subtle background; selecting the text reveals the delimiters again. For code fences, Shift+Enter generates a closed skeleton with an optional language-id line, the closing marker flows below any content typed inside, and a single Backspace or Delete at a block boundary unwraps the entire pair. Every gesture rides on Shift+Enter and a handful of arrow keys; Enter always keeps its native submit semantics and is never intercepted.

The plugin is aimed at developers who frequently compose lists, step-by-step instructions, or code snippets inside the DSH Web interface and prefer a fully keyboard-driven workflow with no toolbar clicks. It is a pure client-side module with zero runtime dependencies, toggleable at any time from Settings, and leaves every native DSH behavior untouched.
