dsh-chime

When running agent workflows in dsh-tui, the agent pauses mid-turn to call ask_user_question and waits for a reply, and each turn ends silently once the loop completes. If the terminal happens to be in the background, both of those critical moments can slip by unnoticed. dsh-chime fills that gap with audio cues so you do not have to keep your eyes on the screen at all times.

The plugin subscribes to the session/event bus published by dsh-session and fires notification chimes at two precise points: the agent-question prompt and the turn-end event. Each chime varies with whether the terminal window is focused or blurred. Nine selectable sound sets — Crisp, Wood, Chiptune, Warm (synthesised in code) and Bell, Bubble, Arcade, Marimba, Soft Synth (CC0 samples) — each cover four focus/unfocus scenarios, all configurable or disable-able from the Notice Sounds settings card. Version 0.2.0 adds a master volume slider from 0% to 150% in 5% steps, with instant audition on change; the gain is applied only to the plugin internal samples and never touches system volume.

Ideal for developers who use dsh-tui agent workflows daily on Windows (Windows Terminal or classic conhost). Audio playback relies on Win32 APIs; on Linux and macOS the plugin degrades silently to a no-op with a logged Win32-only warning, so other platforms are not currently supported. The settings card is bilingual (Chinese/English) and localises automatically with the host /lang selection.
