The DSH Web GUI is built around conversation flow, but the files that actually matter — source code, assets, configs — live in workspace folders outside the browser. Every time you need to inspect, drag, or tidy those files you must leave the window and hunt for the right directory in a file manager; with several workspaces in play, picking the wrong path is easy. dsh-open-workspace bridges that gap by embedding a one-click open-workspace action directly inside the GUI.

The plugin registers two entry points: a menu item in the sidebar session-row ellipsis menu and a button in the conversation header bar. Both share the same resolution logic — locate the workspace path/cwd, then fall back through the session cwd, a flat list, and finally the current session. On Windows it spawns explorer.exe with UTF-16 arguments, so Chinese and other non-ASCII paths open correctly instead of suffering the silent failures common with PowerShell shortcuts. A toast in the bottom-right corner confirms success or reports failure, so the action is never a black box.

It is aimed at DSH Web GUI users who juggle multiple workspaces and constantly shuttle between conversation and the underlying file system. The plugin does not alter session content, adds no runtime dependencies beyond the DSH host, and requires only a one-time install plus a web-server restart — making it straightforward to include in shared team configurations.
