Retyping or scrolling back through a long conversation to reuse an earlier message is a small but frequent friction. dsh-input-history is a pure client-side plugin that requires zero host-side changes and injects terminal-style input history into every session, so you can recall sent messages the same way you step through shell history with Up/Down.

The plugin provides two complementary recall channels. In arrow-key mode, with an empty input box or the cursor at the very front, pressing Up/Down steps through previous messages one at a time, replacing the input content directly with no popup list; Esc restores your draft and exits. The /history panel offers a searchable floating list that supports mouse selection as well as Up/Down + Enter keyboard navigation, with adjacent duplicate messages automatically collapsed. History is read from the full log of the current session (paginated) and strictly isolated per session.

It is ideal for users who work through extended conversations and frequently need to revisit, tweak, or reuse earlier inputs. Because it is a lightweight, non-intrusive client-side UI plugin, it becomes available after a single profile restart with no server-side modification.
