When the read_image tool successfully reads a local image in the dsh Web chat, the tool card usually shows only a line of text echo while the image itself has no visible preview. You end up switching to a file manager just to confirm what the model actually saw. dsh-read-image-view brings that image right into the conversation flow.

The plugin renders an inline thumbnail on the tool card (long edge capped at 240px, with a format, dimension, and file-size summary line). Clicking the thumbnail opens a full-screen lightbox for viewing the original; press Esc or click the overlay to close. A retryable error row appears if loading fails, and a tool-level error summary is shown when execution fails. All rendering comes from already-recorded tool/result events, making it a purely client-side addition that does not modify host code, add conversation events, or affect model context. Images remain visible after session resume or fork.

It suits developers who frequently call read_image to inspect local PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF files inside dsh Web chat and want to confirm image content without leaving the conversation window. The one prerequisite is that the routed model must declare image-input support; under a text-only model the read_image tool itself refuses to run, which is outside the plugin scope.
