It leaves the official content-adaptive mechanism fully intact and simply tightens the max-height ceiling according to the mode you choose, so the input box yields more room when you need it.

The plugin offers a three-mode cycle: Auto (default) collapses to 3 lines when unfocused and expands to 8 lines when you click into the editor, balancing reading and writing; Pinned Open locks the height at the official 336 px, behaving identically to the stock composer; Pinned Collapsed keeps the box at 3 lines even while focused, giving the reading area maximum real estate. Below each ceiling the height still follows content exactly via the official mirror layer; internal scrolling only kicks in once the limit is hit. Toggle the mode with the small arrow button in the top-right corner of the composer card or the Alt+Shift+C shortcut. Your choice persists in localStorage and survives page reloads.
