A lot of the work you hand to a DSH agent is inherently repetitive: exporting last week's metrics every Monday, pulling logs into a report each night, polling an external endpoint every few minutes. Opening a session and typing the same prompt by hand every time is slow, error-prone, and easy to forget. dsh-plugin-cron puts those recurring jobs on a cron expression. At the right moment the plugin injects a synthetic user message into a target session, triggering a full agent turn—tool calls, file writes, data pulls, report generation—exactly as if you had typed it yourself.

Several practical design choices make it easy to live with. Tasks can be created through two channels: a natural-language sentence in chat (e.g. "every Monday at 10:30, export last week's ZDP data") or a form in the sidebar footer. A session-policy toggle lets each job either open a fresh, isolated session (new, the default) or bind to an existing one to accumulate context (fixed). A concurrency guard skips a tick if the previous run is still in flight, so a slow agent turn never queues a duplicate. An execution log records the status (success / failure / skipped) and an error summary for every trigger, visible at a glance in the sidebar list. A manual-run button fires one immediate execution without altering the scheduled cadence, which is handy for dry-runs.

Who is it for? If your DSH agent already handles periodic work—scheduled report generation, bulk data export, external API polling, routine cleanup—and you do not want to stand up a separate cron daemon or system timer for it, this plugin is the lightest way to get started. One cron expression, one target session, and the schedule is live.
